The CardMan® 5125 supports 125kHz HID PROX technology while providing ISO 7816 and EMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa) support for contact cards. It is the ideal device for HID PROX-based contactless physical access technology solutions as well as all contact-related applications. Based on a 125kHz contactless interface that reads the unique number from existing HID proximity cards the CardMan® 5125 allows organizations to implement new PC-linked applications without the need to re-badge cardholders. Many organizations use an HID proximity card for instance for building access and as a corporate or student ID. The dual interface feature economically supports end-user environments where both HID proximity and contact smart card technology may be needed. As the reader complies with PC/SC and Microsoft® WHQL and has proximity capability it is easy to integrate. Protocols for contact chipcards: T=0, T=1, 2-wire: SLE4432, SLE4442 (S=10), 3-wire: SLE4418, SLE4428 (S=9), I2C (S=8), SLE 4404
